The world’s first methanol-hydrogen electric multi-purpose riverboat “Yuanchun 001” was launched in Hangzhou, marking the expansion of Geely Holding Group’s methanol-hydrogen electric drive technology to the marine sector.
The 5th orbital plane of GEESATCOM, known as Geely Future Mobility Constellation, was successfully launched from Rizhao, China, with 11 satellites deployed in a single launch. All satellites entered their designated orbit and are operating nominally, marking another milestone success for the constellation’s deployment.
Geely Auto has officially signed a cooperation deal to become the title sponsor of the 2025 and 2026 Hangzhou Marathon.. As title sponsor, Geely Auto will provide comprehensive vehicular service support for the Hangzhou Marathon as well as offer locally Hangzhou-produced vehicles – the Geely Galaxy M9 and Galaxy Starlight 8 - as prizes to outstanding runners of the event. Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd (HK.0175) (Geely Auto), the Hong Kong-listed entity in which Zhejiang Geely Holding Group is the lead shareholder, and majority shareholder in three brands Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr, released its 2025 H1 results revealing revenues of 150.3 billion RMB, up 27% YoY with net profit attributable to shareholders of 9.29 billion RMB. Profit attributable to shareholders after deducting non-recurring items reached 6.66 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 102%. Net cash increased to 58.8 billion RMB. Thanks to increased scale and product optimization, the company total gross profit increased to 24.7 billion RMB, achieving a gross profit margin of 16.4%.
The fourth launch with 11 satellites for the Geely Future Mobility Constellation has been successfully completed. All 11 satellites have now entered their planned low-earth orbits and are functioning normally.
Geely Holding Group announced that its subsidiaries, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Geely Auto,", stock code: 0175.HK) and Zeekr Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zeekr," stock code: NYSE: ZK), have officially signed a merger agreement. Under the terms of this agreement Geely Auto will acquire all outstanding shares of Zeekr not already held by Geely Auto, with Zeekr shareholders offered the option to receive either cash or Geely Auto shares as consideration.
In the recent announcements on the results of the 2025 Euro NCAP safety tests, the latest models from Geely Holding Group (Geely Holding) portfolio brands, Polestar, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co have all achieved the maximum 5-star safety ratings. Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (Geely Holding) announced today that aggregate sales in the second quarter of 2025 across its portfolio automotive brands – Geely Auto, LYNK & CO, Zeekr, Volvo Cars, Polestar, PROTON, Lotus, smart, Radar, LEVC, and Farizon reached 985,105 vehicles, a 29% Year on Year increase. Among the Group’s Q2 aggregated sales, electrified (EVs, HEV, PHEVs) vehicles sales reached 538,124 units, representing a YoY increase of 65% and representing 55% of the Group sales. Cumulative sales in the first six months of 2025 reached 1,931,698 units, a YoY increase of 30% with electrified vehicles accounting for 1,001,496 units, a YoY increase of 73% and representing 52% of the Group aggregated total.
The second annual International Young Engineers Exchange Program for Automotive Standardization (Go-YEEP) co-organized by Geely Holding Group (Geely Holding) and China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd (CATARC) officially opened in Ningbo on June 29th. A total of 26 young engineers and experts from 20 national standardization institutions in countries including Tanzania, Uzbekistan, and South Africa as well as international institutions such as the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) gathered together with young representatives from the Chinese automotive industry to discuss participation in international standards building and governance.
